| Looks great, Mark. The first one is my fav.
The scale difference between the grass blades and the tent kinda throws me.

| The tent is small, maybe you thought it would be a big one? Each image is 1000x700, so there are 5 tiles horizontally ... Added 4 more grasses to the first post

| Added a yellow flowers floor. Will probably use a lighter shade eventually.
Update: added a sample with a lighter version

| Oh my oh my oh my. OK Mark you've got me speechless. . . . Well not quite These are really incredible! I think you just created something equivalent to Fluids stuff (and you know that comment doesn't come lightly for me.) Please don't knock out the darker green grass with the yellow flowers - I personally like it a lot. More than the lighter one. I'm having a hard time choosing which ones I like best. I love the ground texture on the desert one. Be neat to see some more experimentation with that. Wow! WOW! When do I get to put 'em in a map! | |

| Thanks Mysie I am still experimenting a bit and might even be able to make some of these a bit better. The biggest problem is making them into tileable floors. It takes an aweful lot of time to do that. I am also looking at covers for edges and transitions, other floor types, using water for swamps, etc, etc. Lot to go through. Let me know what floor or floors you want to use right now I am going to put these and other floors, along with bushes, trees, transitions, covers, etc. in a commercial pack. So you know what that means when you use these ... | |

| Very cool. I like the third one down, in the keplifications post. And the dry grass one at the very top of this thread is excellent. | |

| I like the grass but not the texture underneath so much.
I think where Fluid went awry was the fact that the grass textures for the most part did not match the dirt textures. If you can overlay the grass onto our chosen dirt textures, it sure would help transition lines.

| True Tim, that's a process I have to refine though, since the grass is "grown" on the texture (Vue Infinite's ECO system at work). This means I either have to recolour/exchange the texture in the versions I have now, or render the grass again with another ground texture and cut it up in floor tiles again ... I would prefer the first option, since that will give us the same tiles with different ground textures. Those will always fit together and you can draw the same gras on different dirts. In any case, the grass I have now in not an overlay, but dirt and vegetation are one I'll test some of the possibilities. I changed the grass colour on the last one by selecting the dirt, reversing the selecting and change the grass colour. I can do the same with the dirt and even replace it with another texture . I'll post some results when I have them | |

| Once we decide on the dirt textures, I will let my secret out on how to scale and match 200 by 200 textures. Blu has asked me several times and I have avoided answering but I have a knack for being able to match 3d and 2d textures in Vue.
Either way, you should be able to turn the ground plane transparent in vue then load the alpha channel in PS. Have your tried that?
BTW, which grass models did you use? I may buy Vue's grass but I found a few killer grass models at renderosity I would like to try as well.

| When using EcoSystem, you can't create a transparent aplha plane as far as I know (or have been able to find out ), because you are using a terrain and not the ground plane ... I can however use any texture we want for the terrain and using the sunlight and colours we should be able to get really close to the original texture. Very curious about your solution for that | |
