You mean like an overview map, so you can see more of the surrounding area?

Yes, an overview map with more in the picture.

The bank seems to have a big overhang (caused by the shadow?). Wouldn't the point where the grass drops off actually be without shadow. And actually be the brightest? Not sure how to achieve that though.

It just feels off. Sorry, you know me by now. It's probably just me.

I think you are right, but also that this version works ... This version has an overhang and might work best with earth and stone textures on top. A brighter top with grass and other vegetation perhaps ...

I dont like the falaise but the cliff underneath looks like it would make a good riverbank. It looks like you need to feather the edges of it a little more. I can see where the cliff meets the sand.
