I can make textures like this and what comes close to it ...
Let me know what changes you might want.

I'll try some more of these.
Shall I create bigger ones? Like 1200x1200 or 1600x1600 instead of 800x800?

As I'm not a DJ user, I have no idea of the size needed for a texture.

btw I tried to make one (starting with a bit of a picture comming from a debian wallpaper)

I'll get started with what we have here as soon as I finish up the DA map that I'm working on. There's already enough to start experimenting with.

Tony's floor in use ... I really, really like this one ... also fits perfectly in colour with the "mites" and other underground stuff I did

Oooh - I like that even better than the grey. May have to try out different versions to see how it works best.

BTW the faint yellow and purple lines you might see in that last one are because my PC does something weird when I post a pic to the online drive.

All 3 textures will be used by me ... they are all different, but work great for different underdark aspects.

Yeah - I'm guessing that for the overview -I'll still probably lean towards the grey. Not sure if folks expect a lot of color for an Underdark map. They want spooky shadowy maps.

What's the chance for a slate-like texture in either color scheme? Something that's not flat, but not got a lot of texture to it.

Aren't slates roof tiles? Or are you talking about some kind of floor texture? Maybe an example ....?

Well it would help if I actually looked the textures up. They are referred to as Marble Red slab and Marble Green slab in that art pack and the same basic texture is used in the dungeon artpack as Stone shale. So I was off in my description though slate and shale do come from similar rock families.

If you need specific floor tiles, let me know. I have an extensive library of textures to pull from and I can make them into art. It takes some work sometimes, but I enjoy it a lot more than creating maps...

I will look for some good slate - shale textures. Do you want them like a floor tile, random tile, or natural formations.

Just look at what textures we have now and see if you have something that resembles that (after some work if needed )

I think we're looking for stuff along the natural lines - though I wouldn't mind a nice even slab.

And again, don't mind the weird colour lines you might see

I sent you the granite I did. Very difficult one, but I think it can work.
